If you are choosing to use these pieces outdoors, you can clean any spots using mild soap and water to avoid iron discoloration. If you want to get some dried wax from your wrought iron, just bring a pot of water to a boil. Once it comes to a rolling boil, turn the burner off and pour some water onto the piece to melt the wax. Use a paper towel to remove any waxy residue. Be sure to avoid antibacterial soaps or cleansers that contain bleach to avoid damaging the outer coating.
