Brass – If your brass brass handle could use some sprucing, simply combine a little lemon juice with baking soda and apply the paste with a soft cloth. If the tarnish is heavy, let the piece sit with the paste on it for 30 minutes. Take a washcloth or soft towel and heat it with warm water. Do as Mr. Miyagi said and gently wax off any dirt/grime until the handle is thoroughly dry! Leaving water residue on brass can lead to unwanted water spots after your hard work!
Wood – The Sheesham Wood on your cane has been lacquered, providing a protective layer that allows for easier cleaning. If your cane is in need of some R&R, begin by wiping with a soft dry cloth to remove dust. If there are sticky or harder-to-remove spots, wipe them away with a moist cloth and immediately follow with a dry cloth. Try to not to extend contact with any water or alcohol. To restore shine, polish with a natural turpentine or linseed oil using a soft dry cloth.
*As with all things made by hand, these pieces are all unique and small flaws may be present, which adds to the intrinsic character and beauty of each piece.
